Terms of Service

By using Cali ("Cali Crunch" on the App Store, "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Service Description

Cali is an AI-powered calorie and macro tracking application. You can log food by taking photos, speaking, or typing. The app uses artificial intelligence to estimate nutritional content.

2. AI Estimates — Not Medical Advice

Calorie and macro estimates provided by Cali are approximate and generated by AI. They should not be relied upon as precise nutritional data. The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Consult a healthcare professional for specific dietary needs.

3. Account

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the app's operation
• Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or violates others' rights
• Reverse engineer or decompile the app
• Use automated means to access the service (bots, scrapers)

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Cali may offer subscription plans for continued access. Payments are processed through Apple's App Store billing system. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are handled per Apple's App Store refund policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, code, and AI models are owned by or licensed to Cali. You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, text). By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated nutritional estimates.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Upon deletion, all your data — including food logs, conversation history, and usage records — will be permanently and immediately removed. This action cannot be undone.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding individual arbitration. You waive the right to participate in class actions. This does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
